Such produce is still available from the road-side stalls of the orchards, from farm stores, on market days in Svendborg, and Svendborg´s exciting specialty shops
 
In general South Funen is known for its large selection of eateries, fine hotel restaurants, pleasant inns, restaurants in converted warehouses, in castles and in old windmills, quick-serve lunch bars, and cafés with outdoor seating, beef houses, burger restaurants, pubs and even a barge restaurant.

The Food produce marketThe Food produce market is the major culinary event at Svendborg Harbour every year, the last weekend of June.
For two days more than 100 exhibitors from all over Denmark and also from e.g. Germany will offer samples of their highquality products.
